FESTIVAL SITE
The festival site, where slate was once extracted and transformed into end products, is now part of the Slate Museum of Haut-Martelange. The Slate Museum is a huge, 8-hectare site which invites visitors to discover the living history of slate workers. It's a whole village made up of underground mines, industrial buildings and houses where the owners and quarrymen once lived. The architecture blends seamlessly into the charming post-industrial atmosphere and takes visitors on a journey into the past.
Address: Musée de l'Ardoise, Entrée principale, 8823 Obermartelingen
